Volunteer

HandsOn West Central Ohio works with local nonprofit organizations throughout Darke, Logan, Miami and Shelby Counties to identify specific volunteer positions available.  A wide variety of one-time and on-going volunteer positions are available for both individuals and groups of all ages.  Browse our searchable database of local service opportunities and create a personal profile using the search box in the ride sidebar of our Web pages.  After you have begun volunteering, please complete our time sheet each month and return it to the volunteer coordinator serving your county.

Retired & Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP)

The Retired & Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) offers "one stop shopping" for all volunteers 55 and better who want to find challenging, rewarding and significant service opportunities in their local communities. RSVP offers maximum flexibility and choice to its volunteers as it matches the personal interests and skills of older adults with meaningful opportunities to serve our community. More than 63,773 hours were contributed by 608 RSVP volunteers in Darke, Logan and Shelby Counties in 2008 at a value of nearly 1.3 million dollars.  To learn more or to enroll in RSVP, click here.
