Our ProgramsRetired & Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) offers "one stop shopping" for all volunteers 55 and better who want to find challenging, rewarding and significant service opportunities in their local communities. RSVP offers maximum flexibility and choice to its volunteers as it matches the personal interests and skills of older adults with meaningful opportunities to serve our community. More than 63,773 hours were contributed by 608 RSVP volunteers in Darke, Logan and Shelby Counties in 2008 at a value of nearly 1.3 million dollars. Youth and young adult volunteering is promoted through online profiles on Facebook, Twitter and other social networking Web sites. Youth and young adult volunteers are also recruited through Volunteer Speed Matching events, speaking engagements within local schools and more. Group Project Management services are available to groups of volunteers from community organizations, schools, faith-based organizations, families and more. Our experienced staff will work directly with nonprofit organizations in your community to prepare a structured volunteer experience for your group. For more information about this service, please contact your county's Volunteer Coordinator. Corporate Volunteer Services are available upon request. Today's business leaders recognize that a corporation's commitment to social responsibility can provide an edge in attracting and retaining quality employees, as well as strengthening relationships with customers. Corporate volunteerism is an indispensable part of this commitment. HandsOn West Central Ohio can help develop employee volunteer initiatives that fit your business climate, employee base and community goals. Disaster Volunteer Management Services are provided by HandsOn West Central Ohio to communities within Darke, Logan, Miami and Shelby Counties.
