National Volunteer WeekNational Volunteer Week, celebrated April 18 to 24, presents an opportunity for individuals, families, nonprofit organizations and government entities alike to celebrate the ordinary people who accomplish extraordinary things through service. This national celebration embodies the energy and power volunteers evoke on a daily basis as they lead by example – not only encouraging the people they help, but motivating others to serve as well. HandsOn West Central Ohio, including the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program, is celebrating National Volunteer Week 2010 with community volunteer recognition events in Greenville, Piqua, Sidney and West Liberty. A variety of awards will be presented during these celebrations. Check back throughout this week to see information about our recipients!
